A couple of quick notes here. It is your responsibility to contact me when you need course information or assistance. I teach several sections so please let me know your full name and which course you are registered in, so I can reply more quickly. I will also monitor the course Discussion Forum. If you have a question that might help your fellow students, please post it, so the response may be shared. You may find the best way to ask a general course question is to post a note on the "General Questions" electronic forum anytime. I check this a couple times a week and answer questions for benefit of the entire class. If you have a personal question, you may choose to E-mail me directly at ksampson@coastline.edu   (Check the Course Announcements frequently because I post responses to frequently asked questions there)

Welcome!

You'll be using a course management system called Course Compass which contains all the instructional material you need to be successful in the course including pages from the textbook, videos, tutorials, practice problems, interactive homework and explorations, discussion groups, etc.  I've built a lot of flexibility into the course so you can work ahead at your own pace or catch up if you fall behind.

Your grade will be based on: (a) written assignments; (b) open-book quizzes; (c) interaction in discussion forums; and a (d) final exam. If you have any questions or if I can help in any way let me know. To get started click on "How to Begin" on the left.
