What is Seaport?
Seaport is a learning management system (LMS) that offers a variety of online tools, templates, and help aides to support teaching and learning. Once in a course, you'll find general online tools in the left navigation bar (e.g., calendar, dropbox, forums, gradebook). You can offer announcements and use pre-built templates to provide general course information. Use the default content to get started, or replace it with your own. Build course lessons by uploading your digital content into the "Learning Object" repository, and then linking this content to each lesson. Seaport can support online, hybrid, and/or web-assisted classroom instruction.

Seaport utilizes private and public object repositoriesand a simple course creation interface to allow instructors an easy way to develop content rich courses online.
